kirsten-dunst-nudeKIRSTEN Dunst demanded nude scenes in her new movie Melancholia, and her next project will be a hard core porn flick, the controversy-courting director of her latest movie bizarrely claimed today.

Lars Von Trier joked to a bemused press conference at the Cannes Film Festival that Kirsten Dunst had begged him to make new movie Melancholia 'as explicit as possible' and pressed him to go nude.

A nervous-looking Dunst, and co-star Charlotte Gainsbourg, looked stunned as Von Trier said: "Kirsten insisted it's going to be a porn film.

Dunst does have some nude scenes in Melancholia.

"We made this very famous beaver-shot in [Melancholia], where Kirsten demanded to be naked. I said, 'It doesn't really fit the film', and she said, 'No, no, no, no. I feel strongly for this'.

"So I said, 'OK, let's put it in'. And now she wants more.

"That's how women are, and Charlotte is behind this. They want a really hardcore film this time, and I am doing my best.

"I said let's have a lot of talking in it, and they said, 'We don't give a shit about the dialogue, we just want to have a lot of very very unpleasant sex,' and that's what I am writing right now. It's going to be three or four hours long."

Failing to spot that the humour was lost on the members of the press the Danish director then went on to claim he was a Nazi as he got tangled up in an ill-thought out joke answer to a question about his German roots.

He said: "I thought I was a Jew for a long time and was very happy being a Jew ... Then it turned out that I was not a Jew ... I found out that I was really a Nazi which also gave me some pleasure.

"What can I say? I understand Hitler. He did some wrong things, absolutely, but I can see him sitting there in his bunker at the end ... I sympathise with him, yes, a little bit."

Realising his words may have been taken literally he tried to extricate himself saying: "But come on, I am not for the second world war, and I am not against Jews. I am very much for Jews; well not too much because Israel is a pain in the ass. But still, how can I get out of this sentence ... OK I'm a Nazi."
