foo-fighters-lorryTHE Foo Fighters took to a flat-bed lorry to serenade whacko religious protesters who were trying to get their gig banned.

Members of the hateful US Westboro Baptist Church, who openly pray for US soldiers and gays to die and picket military funerals, were protesting the Foo Fighters concert in Kansas City, Missouri.

They had announced plans earlier this month to picket the show at the Sprint Centre because of the Foo's failure to promote "obedience to God".

But Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and bandmates parked up in front of the protesters in a flat-bed truck dressed in 'good ole boy' cowboy hats, long wigs and fake moustaches and performed an acoustic version of their song 'Keep It Clean'.

Grohl said: “Ladies and gentlemen,God bless America! Land of the free, home of the brave!

“I don't care if you're black or white or purple or green, whether you're Pennsylvanian or Transylvanian, Lady GaGa or Lady Antebellum, it takes all kinds."
