The 34-year-old crashed near his Porsche 911 close to his home in West Goshen, Pennsylvania at around 2.30am following a night out with friends. No other vehicle was involved.
Police were called and arrived to find the car engulfed in flames.
NBC Philadelphia reported that his body was so badly burned that he had to be identified by his tattoos.
A male passenger was also pronounced dead at the scene 'a result of injuries sustained in the accident.'
Police are awaiting positive identification before formally releasing the passenger's identity.
Initial investigations indicate that 'speed may have been a contributing factor to the accident.'
Just hours before the accident, Dunn tweeted a picture of himself with two male friends, all of whom were holding what appeared to be alcoholic drinks.
TMZ was reporting that Mr Dunn had downed “at least' three light beers and three shots” between 10.30pm and 2.10am at Barnaby's of America bar before the accident.
