Land-Rover-Discovery-3-blurBRITAIN'S most unreliable car is the upmarket Land Rover Discovery 3, according to a new survey out today.

Annually owners of the luxury motor face a 62 percent chance of breaking down.

The runner up slot in the UK's unreliable car league table went to Renault Grand Scénics made from 2004 to 2009.

At the other end of the survey, by consumer warranty firm Warranty Direct, Toyota Corollas made between 1997 and 2002 were deemed to be the most reliable cars on the road, with owners facing just a 3 percent chance of a breakdown.

WD spokesman Duncan McLure Fisher said: “Our ratings show not all older cars break down all the time – as long as you pick the right one.”Land-Rover-Discovery-3
