A 400-YEAR-OLD goddess has finally been allowed to bare her boobs – after they were covered up by Rev John Wesley — the founder of the Methodist movement.

The Goddess of Abundance was originally sculpted with her chest exposed and placed in position  at St James Priory in Bristol, UK.

But 250 years ago churchman Rev John Wesley — the founder of the Methodist movement — hid her boobs behind  a hastily made 'shield' when it became his parish church more than 250 years ago.

Experts working on the 900-year-old building, where she graces a fireplace, discovered the prudish add-on and restored the Goddess's bosom to its original glory.

Rev Wesley held sermons in the room where the statue stands — and is thought to have obscured her boobs to avoid distracting his flock during prayers.
