cesna-206A TEENAGER who walked away uninjured after falling 3500 feet from an aeroplane was 'quite upbeat' about his miracle escape.

The 18-year-old fell to earth at more than 70 mph after his parachute is believed to have snared on the Cesna 206's door.

The fledgling skydiver on only his fourth jump was airlifted to hospital as a precaution after the accident at Strathallan Airfield, near Auchterarder, Perthshire, in Scotland, but medics were amazed to discover he was barely injured.

He has now been discharged.

A Scottish Ambulance Service helicopter was sent to the scene and the jumper was taken to Glasgow’s Southern General Hospital suffering from suspected back, leg and neck injuries.

Kieran Brady, chairman of  Skydive Strathallan, said he had spoken to the teenager’s father and said he was ‘quite jovial and quite upbeat about it all’.
