This is what passes for First Class train travel in London

E-mail Print PDF

ripped-seatTHE slashed and torn fabric, horrible stench and ugly grafitti on the carriage walls look like a depressing throwback to Stalinist Eastern Bloc transport, or the transport solution of some penniless Third World failed state.

But this is a FIRST CLASS British train carriage serving St Pancras station in London.

Despite the pitiful state of the carriage staff had the nerve to place covers on the headrests laughably stating “1st”.

A first class ticket from St Pancras to Birmingham can cost £260.

One passenger said: “It's just unbelievable, the seats are almost too dirty to sit down on. To call it First Class is just beyond a joke.”

And here is the same carriage from a different angle. The grafitti is on the back wall.
