Surrealist artist Jasmine Maddock kept grandma's rotting corpse at home

Jasmine-MaddockA SURREALIST artist currently on show at California's prestigious Garboushian Gallery left her grandmother's corpse to rot while she claimed state welfare.


Respected artist Jasmine Maddock, 36, has shown her work in London's Saatchi Gallery, Liverpool and Los Angeles, and is currently showing in Beverly Hills.

But today she faces jail, along with mother Hazel Maddock, for keeping the decomposing body of grandma Olive at her home for six months while continuing to claim her pension.

The scam was only uncovered when worried relatives contacted the police over 95-year-old Olive's mysterious disappearance.

Officers smashed their way into her room at the family home in in Wallasey, Wirral, to discover her rotting remains.

Jasmine and mum Hazel, 65, now face jail after pleading guilty to the unlawful prevention of her burial.
