The 'solar-panel' swimsuit is the brainchild of US-based designer Andrew Schneider, who used photo-voltaic panels sewn together with conductive thread.
And the Solar Bikini allows the wearer to plug in an iPod or camera to USB sockets sewn into the fabric so they will never run out of power on the beach!
The bikinis are made to measure and take 80 hours to hand-stitch.
They cost £120.
Mr Schneider, 30, said: "I use 40 individual paper-thin flexible, photo-voltaic panels for each bikini. I sew them together over a normal bikini using soft-conductive thread.
Anything that you can power or charge through a USB connection you can power and charge using the solar bikini, assuming of course you're out and about under the sun.
Amazingly women wearing the Solar Bikini can still go into the sea so long as they unplug all appliances and dry the USB ports.
