GAMERS can now play the invite-only beta Call of Duty Elite, which sneak-peak players say 'takes the form of a great deal of stats, and not much else'.
The service will be officially launched when Modern Warfare 3 is released in November.
Gamers will be able to connect with other CoD users, compete in events and competitions, and improve their in-game skills by analysing their statistics and performance.
More limited invitations will be sent out in the coming weeks, with the beta being activated in phases to allow for future testing.
Activision boss Bobby Kotick said Elite was a 'direct result of player input' which 'started out with a desire to give back' to players.
Call of Duty Elite and Modern Warfare 3, is released on November 8.
