SHE'S known to her millions of male fans as the ultra glamorous, impossibly curvaceous Joan Harris -the 'gets-what-she-wants' office manager in TV's Mad Men.
But these pre-Mad Men pictures of actress Christina Hendricks give no hint of the global sex bomb she was about to become.
Well, maybe a hint.
The cavernous cleavage and sofa-sized boobs are certainly there – but her trademark 50s style, figure-hugging, ultra glamour is decidedly absent.
The pictures were taken in Glasgow at a small convention for fans of the little-known sci-fi TV series Firefly.
Christina Hendricks starred as a space con-artist called Saffron in the series, set in the year 2517.
Just weeks after these pics were taken Mad Men would hit the screens and the sassy, sexy Joan Harris would become a TV icon catapulting Hendricks to international acclaim.
By her own admission Christina Hendricks says she felt invisible before Mad Men.
But the 35-year-old, whose curves measure 39D-30-39, has since become a role model in the battle against size zero.
Her boobs have even been credited with sparking a rush for breast enhancement ops in Britain.
But she says it's still tough for a curvy woman to look glamorous.
She said: “It is difficult come awards season, and I need to find a gown to walk down the red carpet in, and there are only size zeros and size twos available.
“Then it becomes downright annoying because all these designers are saying, "We love Mad Men, we love Christina, but we won’t make her a dress."'
